At South West Nissan, we are thrilled to reveal that Nissan’s electrified product offensive is powering up in 2025 with the launch of two all-new electric vehicles, plus a third coming soon, alongside an exciting update to one of Nissan’s most innovative and popular technologies.
Workers at Britain’s largest car plant in Sunderland are gearing up to produce the third-generation LEAF, Nissan’s pioneering electric vehicle that sparked the EV revolution. With production starting later this year, the new LEAF will feature a striking aerodynamic design and be built on Nissan’s advanced CMF-EV platform, shared with the larger ARIYA.
As part of Nissan’s EV36Zero project, this initiative will transform the Sunderland plant into a flagship EV hub, combining electric vehicles, renewable energy, and battery production – driving sustainability forward.
Nissan’s all-new Micra will launch in 2025, bringing a fresh look and cutting-edge electric performance. Designed by the talented team at Nissan Design Europe in London, it will be built on the AmpR Small platform shared with Renault’s R5.
The Micra will offer two battery options – 40kWh and 52kWh – delivering an impressive range of over 248 miles on a single charge. Production will take place at the Ampere ElectriCity plant in Douai, France, with sales beginning before the end of the year.
The best-selling Qashqai – already a favourite among UK drivers – will get even better with an upgraded e-POWER system. Known for its smooth, EV-like driving experience, the enhanced e-POWER technology will offer greater efficiency, lower emissions, and improved refinement.
And it doesn’t stop there! Nissan has confirmed that the next-generation Juke will arrive in FY26 as a pure EV, inspired by the Hyper Punk concept showcased at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show.
