The tour turned out to be one of the most exciting events of the year — a packed, hands-on showcase that put the New LEAF and All-New Nissan MICRA right in front of customers across at our Wellington and Exeter dealerships. With immersive tech demos, live reveals, prizes, and plenty of chances to sit inside both cars, the LEAF & MICRA Tour did exactly what it set out to do: get people talking, sharing, and experiencing these amazing new cars that are about to hit UK roads.

If you popped into one of our South West Nissan dealerships recently, you might’ve noticed something a bit special — the Nissan LEAF & MICRA Tour rolled into town! As part of Nissan’s national “Electric Encounters Live” roadshow, we had the pleasure of hosting a one-day pop-up event celebrating two game-changing electric cars: the All-New Nissan LEAF and the All-New Nissan MICRA.
Customers were invited to pre-book exclusive reveal sessions at our showrooms across the region. Each event offered timed presentations at 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM, giving visitors a relaxed, personal, and interactive experience — far beyond a standard showroom visit.
From the moment guests arrived, the energy was electric — quite literally! Each event featured immersive light shows, sound demonstrations, and guided walkarounds led by Nissan product specialists. Visitors explored every detail of these new EVs, learning about driving range, charging, interior tech, and ownership benefits in an up-close and engaging way.
The goal? Simple: to bring the New Nissan LEAF and MICRA to life — because no amount of pictures or spec sheets can match the thrill of seeing the real thing.
One of the highlights was the Nissan LEAF’s 360° Bose headrest speakers, which created a surround-sound audio experience unlike anything else in its class. Guests sat behind the wheel to enjoy a fully immersive sound demo — a taste of how music, podcasts, and navigation feel in Nissan’s next-generation electric hatchback.
The display also showcased the LEAF’s innovative flat-floor design, twin 14.3-inch screens, and Google built-in technology, turning every drive into a connected, intuitive experience. Information boards and videos explained how far the LEAF has come since its 2010 debut — a model that’s helped pioneer electric mobility with nearly 700,000 global sales to date.
The iconic Nissan MICRA is returning — and this time it’s fully electric. Designed in Nissan’s London studio and set to be built in France, the New Nissan MICRA EV is expected to arrive in the UK from late 2025. The LEAF & MICRA Tour gave many customers their very first look at this all-electric MICRA in person.
The New Nissan MICRA has been “reborn with more attitude than ever”, featuring sculpted lines, a distinctive profile, and headlights that appear to wink as you approach the car. Inside, drivers can enjoy Multisense lighting with a choice of 48 modes that adapt to different moods, along with an available nine-speaker Harman Kardon sound system designed to keep every vocal clear, wherever you sit.
Under the skin, Nissan has announced 40kWh and 52kWh battery options for the New MICRA, with the larger battery expected to deliver a range of over 253 miles. That makes the electric MICRA a serious option for drivers who want a compact, city-friendly EV that can also handle longer commutes and weekend trips without constant charging stops.
